What is the cheapest domain registration available?

Hi, want to register a domain name or a few. Want no strings attached domain name registration. Please bear in mind that cheap is below $5 per year., more on the $3 side. I have registered domains for that money before but these deals come and go. Thanks! www.dot.tk is a crap thing it is a /tk domain there are lot of strings attached and you do not even own the domain. So, bad answer. I need a .com site I own.

3. you can get .com for $1.99 but that will always make you buy hosting or some other non domain related product. Some places have coupons but you will need to buy at least $25 worth before getting to use it. Domains at Retail ( http://www.domainsatretail.com ) is what I use to get mine for $1.99. But I always hosts my sites with them too, so I buy the economy hosting for $4.95 for 2 months minimum and get my domain names cheap.
