Is it still a good time to start a Web Design business? I'll be graduating at the end of this year, from my web design and web development courses. Is it still a good time to start a web design business? And is it realistic to aim to earn £100K per year from web design and web development?

Where can I get certified in Web Design or Web Master in Los Angeles City? Hi, I am very interested in getting a certification in web design. I know there are sites for classes online but I would really like to attend a class with a teacher and classmates. Online classes are good but being in a classroom can resolve problems and questions I can ask anytime. Los Angeles is a big city but when it comes to education there are places that either lack certification or good training. Any good source of information (sites, places, schools) would be great. Thank you.
What should I know in starting up my own web design business? I have some experience supporting a large website, but not with the entire design process yet. But I really enjoy doing this type of work and would love to make money doing it. I have most of the software I think I would need (Photoshop, Dreamweaver, etc), as well as space with a hosting service. I am still working on my personal website and I don't have much to include for a personal portfolio yet. What would be the best steps to take to really venture out on my own by starting my own web design business and find potential customers? With all of the 'do it yourself' templates out now, is there a big demand for this type of work still?
what is the best web design program to use with an apple mac computer? I want to make a website that features video clips of friends (don't want to just post to YouTube). What is the best web design software for an Apple Computer that is easy enough to learn (relatively, for an experienced apple person) but will still be able to look professional and allow me to upload video clips? Oh, and how much would this program / these programs cost? Thank you!
How do I become a web design freelancer? I did a couple of "unofficial" (read: under the table) freelance web design gigs when I was unemployed. Now I have a new full-time job, but it's not in the web design field. And I think it would be a nice way to earn some extra cash on occassion. How would I go about being officially recognized as a freelance web designer? Would I need to essentially start a business to get a vendor number, or something like that? Please, only answer if you actually have a clue about this sort of thing.
How much should a semi-professional photographer make for a web design project? I am doing a web re-design for a local brewery and know that good pictures can make or break a really nice site. One of my good friends is a teacher, but has a great eye for photography and I want to hire her on to the project. What should I charge the brewery for her services? Note that this will be her first real professional experience, (Besides side jobs at weddings, etc) The website re-design project is around $3000.
Is it better to go into architecture or web design? So here is the deal. I am going to the National Guard in January, and when I return in March after 9 weeks of boot camp, I want to start enrolling back in college for my second degree. It's going to be a degree in architecture, however, with the recent housing slump and the recession and all, is it a field that is worth going into? I figured that if that didn't work out, I'd pursue web design, yet another passion of mine. I used to work for an architect, but I left because he was a miserly old fool who cared more about how many hours you worked as opposed to how much you were worth. Any suggestions?
how to start a web design for a beginner? As a beginner, I try to design a web in terms of educational settings. However, it seems difficult for me to do so. Hopefully, anyone can help me to design a web easily and simply? And the most important thing is how to upload it in the internet?
If I tweak a free web design protected by Creative Commons, is still copyrighted? I'd like to use a free web design template I found, but the Creative Commons license says I have to leave the designer's link on the website. If I am tweaking the design (color, size, layout, etc.) is the design still protected under this license? In other words, how far does the design need to change before it stops being the original copyrighted material? Or does it ever?
What is the best web design software for a novice using a PC? I have registered a few domain names through godaddy and I would like to design some custom websites that are better than just the plain page with the blue links. Is there software that is good for a beginner and has pretty powerful web tools? Also, what do I have to do on godaddy's end to have my website displayed on the internet. Do they have a page and/or size limit?

Visiting actual businesses, cold calling, post cards, email, etc? Thanks for your help and suggestions.
